Update on Rockland Volleyball

September
17

In honor of the first Rockland notebook hitting presses this morning, I thought I’d give a full-scale update on records and leaders in the county.

Jenna Hrycyk from Suffern has 56 kills. The Mounties’ Kristin Schmidt is has 47 while North Rockland’s Keri Perrotto has 46. Theresa Miller from Albertus Magnus has raked in 34.

Tayla Gardner from Tappan Zee is leading the section in aces on average per game with a total of 21 aces in only nine games. Lauren Schlanger and Gina Carlone  from Clarkstown South also have 21 aces though in 13 games.

Cristina Ruballos from North Rockland is leading the county with 40 digs.

In the blocks department, Schmidt has 19, Miller has 17 and Amber Mayfield from Nanuet and Kelly Nolan from Albertus Magnus each have 13.

Suffern’s Rebecca Aarons has 141 assists so far with the Red Raider’s Karly O’Brien hot on her heels with 102.

As for records, here is how the Rockland teams are doing so far:

Class AA

Suffern 6-0

North Rockland 5-0

Clarkstown North 2-1

Ramapo 1-2

Clarkstown South 1-3

Class A

Tappan Zee 2-1

Nyack 2-2

Spring Valley 0-3

Class B

Albertus Magnus 2-4

Pearl River 1-4
