After 11 seasons at the helm, Carmel coach Amy Carinci has announced that she will not be returning to the sidelines for the 2013 Rams season.
In an e-mail to the coaches of Section 1, Carinci cited the arrival of her child in July as the main reason for the decision.
Carinci has been a key orchestrator of the Carmel tournament, which was commonly known as the “301 Invitational” for many years when co-ran with Haldane. It is unsure whether or not the Carmel tournament will continue this year under the new coach.
Carinci is the third coach to announce her resignation this offseason, joining Leana Peltier of Sleepy Hollow, and A.J. Thau of Briarcliff. All three positions are still currently open.
Anyone interested in either of the coaching positions can contact the school’s respective athletic director.
