Yes, the headline works for both — not only will I be returning to New York today, but on the volleyball circuit, it is also good to be home. Out of the 14 matches slated for Friday, I have all but two home teams defending their turf with a victory — John Jay and Somers.
I’m pretty confident in most of my picks, with the night’s finale being my only real toss-up. Harrison-Eastchester will feature two good Class A teams which could both use a nice in-class win. I went back-and-forth a couple of times on this one, so I went by my general rule of thumb — in the event of a toss-up (in my mind, at least), go with the home team.
