Talk about some great volleyball to end the work week.
It was tough going down the line of predictions, let alone picking just one “match of the night” for Friday. Ultimately, I landed on Sleepy Hollow at Edgemont — a competitive league match. With Dobbs Ferry (13-0) essentially running away with the league crown, these two will duke it out for what will likely be battle for second. The Headless Horsemen took round one, but the Panthers have been quietly turning into contenders. Even though the reigning champs may have won the first time around, I’m giving this one to the hosts in four.
My second choice was Clarkstown South at Mahopac. I love crossover matches, and after seeing the scores from the Suffern-Mahopac match on Thursday, this match should much of the same. Like the Mounties yesterday, I’ve got the Vikings winning this one in five.
