It’s going to be a busy day. It’s going to be a long day. If you plan on attending Croton-Harmon Saturday for any one of the four section finals, I suggest eating a big breakfast, arriving early (even earlier than you planned if you already planned to arrive early) and finding a seat quickly. It’s sure to be a mad house there, but hopefully all will go well.
I will be there for all four finals, tweeting updates for those of you who cannot attend (the feed is to your right, on the blog). However, I cannot write all four game stories (by deadline, at least), so we’ll have some help joining us at Croton-Harmon. Here’s whose byline you will be seeing in Sunday’s paper:
Class B final: No. 1 Ardsley vs. No. 3 Nanuet, 10 a.m. — game story by Dan DeFrancesco
Class A final: No. 1 John Jay vs. No. 2 John Jay, 12 p.m. — game story by Mike Zacchio
Class D final: No. 1 Haldane vs. No. 2 Keio, 2 p.m. — game story by Leif Skodnick
Class AA final: No. 1 Suffern vs. No. 3 Clarkstown South, 4 p.m. — game story by Mike Zacchio
We should have a photographer and photo gallery at each match and I will ask them to shoot video of each match since I’ll be too busy to do it myself. I will put up a post sometime Sunday or Monday with links to every game story and photo gallery from this year’s Section 1 tournament, for your convenience. I will do the same for the state regionals, semifinals and finals later on in November.
